Random Thoughts about The Days Ahead:
Every time I think about finals week, I flashback to how I survived it 8 times. Some semesters were more successful than others. I am a firm believer in doing whatever it takes and I am a huge fan in the tactile - writing and re-writing my notes as a means of studying. I remember singing these notes, while pacing the floor, high on Pepsi, before my finals. Apparently, I had a very good relationship with my roommate, because, when the sun rose, I was still singing and she was still my roommate the following semester. Actually, I was in her wedding. The struggle was real and we were in it together. Anyhow, it does not matter what you look like when you leave your room to go take your final. Wear your disheveled look as a badge of honor. Do whatever it takes to digest and synthesize the information in which you have been immersed all semester-long. This way, you can say that you did your very best. Yes, your grades have consequences, but you are not your grades. High or low, they are not a life sentence on your future, though they may alter the road map to achieving your goals. Whatever happens, this moment is just a blip in time. Be your best self.
