I am re-posting this entry with some edits:
Making appointments via our online scheduling system is a pain. We know this. We feel your pain. Its days are numbered. Until that glorious moment when the system poofs away, we try not to make it angry.
Our appointment maker will always make you feel like you are endangering the security of whatever device you are using. The security is fine. The program is safe, but extremely old in technological years. The scariest warning, in my opinion, is given by Google Chrome.
Why believe an advisor telling you to trust this scheduler, when Mr. Chrome is not only warning you not to use Advisortrac, it is nearly threatening you to shut it down? Believe us, because we have been using this system for years and no one has been harmed. I am using it right now!
To bypass the warning, you have to click a barely visible "advanced" hyperlink that warns you again. The struggle is real. Our scheduler is not Darth Vader. You can treat it as a friendly. In turn, it will frustrate you even more if I, Rachel Moody, am your advisor.
IMPORTANT FOR MY ADVISEES
When making an appointment with me, make sure that both my name and "Advisement Services Center" are selected in the appropriate drop down boxes. Then and only then, search for available time slots. If you still have issues, please e-mail me or stop by the front desk in our office to get help.
